Destination Weddings
Say it somewhere unforgettable — cliffside in Santorini, barefoot in Mexico, in a Tuscan vineyard at golden hour — with every guest and every detail handled.
Why Marry Away
Destination weddings trade one expensive evening for a celebration that lasts days — often at lower total cost than a Lower Mainland reception. Your guest list self-curates to the people who matter, and the honeymoon starts the moment the ceremony ends.
We coordinate the resort, the ceremony package, legal requirements and every guest's travel — so you plan a wedding, not a logistics operation.
Choosing Where
Mexico's Riviera Maya and Los Cabos lead for value, flight access from YVR and flawless wedding infrastructure; Jamaica and the Dominican Republic bring lush drama; Santorini, Amalfi and Tuscany deliver European romance for smaller parties.
Each resort's wedding packages differ wildly in what's included — bouquets to ceremony fees to guest minimums. Comparing them properly is half our value.
Your Guests, Handled
We hold a room block at negotiated group rates, guests book and pay individually with us directly, and you receive a live picture of who's coming without chasing anyone. Payment plans, flight coordination from multiple cities and special requests all route through one advisor.
Legal or Symbolic
Many couples legally marry quietly in BC and hold the full ceremony abroad — skipping translated documents, blood tests and residency requirements some countries impose. Others want the legal ceremony on the sand. Both are beautiful; we'll walk you through exactly what each involves where you're marrying.
And Then, the Honeymoon
The wedding is at the resort; the honeymoon doesn't have to be. We routinely send couples onward — Mexico ceremony then an overwater week in the Maldives, Santorini vows then the Amalfi Coast. One itinerary, two celebrations.
Asked, answered.
How far ahead should we plan?
Twelve to eighteen months for resort choice and guest lead time; nine months is workable for smaller parties.
What does a destination wedding cost?
Resort ceremony packages commonly run $3,000–$15,000 plus guest travel — dramatically less than comparable at-home receptions.
Do guests pay their own way?
Traditionally yes — guests cover their travel at the group rate we negotiate; couples often host events on-site.
Can you handle guests from different cities?
Absolutely — we book each household from their home airport, converging everyone for the celebration.
Is a Mexico marriage legal in Canada?
Properly performed civil ceremonies abroad are recognized — though many couples choose the symbolic-abroad, legal-at-home route for simplicity. We'll explain both.
Do you attend the wedding?
We coordinate remotely with the resort's on-site wedding team, who run your day itself — a combination that works beautifully.
